That's cool - I guess punk comes in many forms cuz it doesn't sound like punk i've heard - the thrashy kind. But i just got wind of these guys recently and I do like them a lot.

Based on their earlier music I would say yes. C'mon " I want a mowhawk , but my Mom won't let Me get one" If that's not Punk , I don't know what is! The later collections seem to be leaning a little twoards the EMOtional side of things. With that said , I still think that they are a talented band and my son absolutley loves them. Rock on!!

I dont understand why you want to group them cause if you like em why worry what style they are "considered" but if you want to know no they are not punk. punk like you said was thrashy fast and loud, usually about rebeling and antiwar but AFI is more of an EMO style band...

There hasnt really been any real punk on the radio in years.
It's punk-pop, but its still good

I LOVE AFI!!!!!! anyways...I don't know, I just listen to them cause I like them and they are a good band
