did anybody else see something that looked like a huge firework in the new mexico sky and appeared to not be moving at first then it broke up into 5-6 pieces and left a trail like a falling star would leave around 6:17 am? it started in the nw part of the sky and headed south. my husband and i seen it on our way to work! we are really hoping somebody can tell us what it is! we sent in a "fireball report" to 2 different places and have not heard anything back as of yet!

it was 6:17 am 1/4/07 and it had nothing to do with new years fireworks it was way too big it would be six time the size of ones a city would shoot off! it was something in the sky whether it was a meteor or God only knows what it definately was nothing man did!

Was it after midnight on the 1st of January? Could have been fireworks. Kids shoot 'em off anytime of day or night.
