How long did you spot for? I have had some spotting (not enough to even really show on a pantyliner) there has only been some dark brown, tinged with a tiny bit of pink off and on for a few days. My period was due January 1st or 2nd. I have had this spotting off and on since the afternoon of December 31st. I have not tested as I keep thinking my period may come. I have signs that go with both a period coming or with pregnancy (sore larger breastsand tired) and I have had some lower back cramps off and on. I would just like to know other peoples experiences. Thanks!
Also if one is pregnant will there be any type of mucus to show your mucus plug is starting to build? Just curious as there has been a tiny amount of brown mucus too. (Yes I have kids but the last time I was pregnant was 9 years ago and I forget all the things that happened at the beginning lol)

My implantation bleeding only lasted about 3ish days, and it was just as you explained... pretty much only enough to show up when I wiped when I went to the bathroom, and the same in color.
As far as mucous, I didn't see any personally that early, I think it started around 8 weeks with the thicker stuff, but it could be old blood coming out now.
Try a test, it won't hurt anything... and good luck!

Hi! I'm currently 8 months pregnant and also I have a daughter who is 6, so I have some experience, but everybody is different. I had some spotting and thought I might have had a "period" when I first became pregnant this time. So, I was actually about 2 months or so when I figured out that I actually WAS pregnant, lol! So, I suppose that my answer about spotting is that I actually DID have some spotting (about a 4 day period) when I became pregnant this time and I had a little bit of spotting (very, very light brown) with my first daughter about half way through. She was a healthy 7 pounder and this little girl seems to be doing fine so far, too! :)
Also, I'm not sure about the mucus plug. I know I've had a bit more discharge this time around, but I'm not sure what causes it and my doc says it's "normal" ...whatever THAT is! LOL

Hi. I had implantation bleeding for only one day. It is common for that type of bleeding to last 1-5 days. I would test if you havent by now. You may be pregnant. The signs of your period coming are the same exact signs of early pregnany.
There is no mucous to show a plug is being built by your body.

I had implantation spotting wtih 2 of my pregnancies. It was just quick spotting for one day. I thought I was beginning my period so I used a tampon and later on when I changed it , there was only a little bit of blood. I never saw any again. after taht. That happened with my 2nd and 3rd pregnancy.

dark brown is old blood that just didn't come out your last period.
I was having some problems and the brown really scared me but that's what my doctor said it was.
But I've never been pregnant....or tried to be so I guess for the rest of your questions Im of no help. sorry.
