What do you want to know about Davy Jones? In sailor mythology he is ruler of the ocean depths, the equivalent of the Greek God Poisiden in more 'modern' times - sailors have always been superstitious and when Christianity declared there were no 'sea gods' the sailors began explaining sudden changes in weather, etc. to a mythological being known as "Davy Jones" - this was mostly English sailors, but the idea spread pretty much whereever sailors went. It was believed that men lost at sea became the slaves of Davy Jones, who was also the captian of the ghost ship "The Lost Dutchman".

I've pretty much read that Davy Jones was "the devil of the sea" according to sailors. Thus the term "Davy Jones' locker", they're going to hell when they die.

What is your question about him?

Hey There- The Monkey Davy Jones wasn't a small child, he was adult and member o the band. This question isn't about him, it's about the mythical being of the sea.

Or maybe Davy Jones, the locker owner? Wikipedia has an interesting article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Davy_Jones%27_Locker

He was recently portrayed in the movie Pirates of the Caribbean II: Dead Man's Chest. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Davy_Jones%27_Locker#Movies
