Just curious after seeing that University of Alabama is paying Nick Saban $32 million over 8 years. Where does all that money come from? I doubt the taxpayers of state universities would be okay with their tax dollars going for something like that, but I don't know what other sources of money athletic departments have for this kind of thing.

Boosters. There's a lot of fund raising going on.

i'd agree that gamers would desire to get some functional volume of spending funds. As for what that real volume is, i do no longer understand. i'd assume that each and every person scholarship athletes at a school would the two get this funds. FYI: a million. no longer all college coaches are starting to be paid $a million million+ in line with 12 months. a number of the pinnacle soccer and basketball coaches are, yet maximum all people isn't. The assistants certainly are no longer. 2. A coach may be fired at any time. and not each and every coach gets a buyout clause.

Boosters and the NCAA football program works like this for every non conference game played the away team pays the home team to be able to play them and the better the team the more money they get in order to make your schedule harder so that you can have a shot at the title unlike Boise had a week schedule and didn't get a chance to play for the title is they would pay teams like Ohio Florida USC teams of that caliber to play they might have had a chance but they didn't play the money game so no title shot

I know that at Tennessee it all comes from the Athletic department. Not one penny comes taxpayer dollars to pay Phil Fulmer or buy his doughnuts. I am sure it helps that one of the main boosters for Tennessee owns all the Pilot gas stations.

boise st is not in the bcs....that is why they will never give them a shot at the title. they are a great team.......just ask oklahoma. it is all political. also the money comes from sponsors like bowl games. rutgers cost their school millions by losing to cincinatti and west virginia.

Well the Boosters think it is more important to spend millions to get a weasel coach who will leave in a few years then it is to spend money on medical research or such. It is kind of crazy when you think about it.
