Saw him on the program 'Just the two of us' and thought he looked poorly.. Maybe he has just had a 'heavy' life..? Can anyone enlighten me??

Yeah I heard he was a crack addict now, such a shame cos he's got such a beautiful voice, Ive seen him live, he's amazing, I hope he gets better.

Yep, caught the end of the same programme last night and he looked either drunk or drugged. If neither then he is seriously ill. I remember him at the peak of his career competitng with Luther Vandross, what a sad end to his professional life appearing on BBC last night.

I have seen him recently and he doesnt look too good, there is no denying he is a fantastic artist, i love his music, he is quite grown up though isnt he? in his 50s i think? not only that celebs like him, really wear themselves out, with the travelling, non stop schedules, interviews etc...he should take a break, i mean when you have Alexanders Success, why push it, trying to compete? with Luther Vandross? oh dear...my advice he should take it easy!!

I know what you mean. I thought he was "on something". He also appeared to be reading the song words over Janet's shoulder! He let her down really especially not turning up for rehearsals with no explanation. Mind you, I don't think she was much good so perhaps he didn't either and couldn't be bothered!

Alexander has struggled with drug use for many many years. This contributed to the demise of his recording career; which was unfortunate, because he was one of the true soul singers of the 80s.

I know that he had a problem with his record company in the past for overdoing the, errrrrrrrrrrrrr talcum powder, shall we say.

We saw it too and thought that the singing from both of them was awful. He was just sort of barking the words out in no particular tune, my partner even asked me who he was because he didn't recognise him.

I have to admit he didn't look to grand....then again, if I had to sing with someone like that, I would go the same! ha ha ha!
