I think the ghost might be finding a replacement to take over her place for her to reincarnate, from the fact that she actually told your daughter to get into the waters and become "best friends forever" My advice to you is to get a priest, or a medium, anything religious to help you get rid of this spirit in your house. This is no good for your child's development. May I ask if your daughter is able to see all ghosts by nature or just this ghost in your house? If it's only the ghost in your house, and this may back up my opinion that it is actually looking for a replacement. Please take this seriously, and the best way might be to move out if say, the above solution may not work. However, ghosts might follow your daughter everywhere, and hence moving might not solve the problem. So I need to know if the ghost actually step out of the house with your daughter? well first off , you shouldn't be married. Secondly I had the same thing happen to me when I was around that age and you know what, it affected me for years and years. I lost respect for my dad later on . You told your child to lie to a person she is supposed to always feel comfortable going to with the truth. Your wife deserves the truth, your child deserves you to correct this, if you don't you are very very selfish.
