Lol she probrobly is having a mid-life crisis. That is just nasty for a woman almost 50 years old to wear that. I mean that is luda-chris.

This totally depends on her figure. There are women 20 years younger than that who go out in outfits they have no business wearing. We've all seen them. If you watch TLC's "What Not To Wear", Stacey and Clinton will tell you "No miniskirts after age 35", but, if a woman has the body for it, and it's for a designated occasion/destination (as opposed to something she wears all the time), I don't see why not. As long as she doesn't get arrested for being a hooker while she's wearing that outfit, I don't see anything "wrong" with it. The only other "issue" I can see about this is - is she married (or in any other kind of committed relationship)? If so, I might wonder why she was trying so hard to attract male attention while out with friends. If she's totally single, then, I might wonder what kind of guys she's trying to attract. Other than that (which are things that are totally her own business), I say she's entitled to wear whatever she wants.

49 years old is a little too old to be wearing an outfit like that to go to a bar. She has five kids and it would be kind of an embarassment for her kids to see her dressed like this knowing that shes not that young anymore. She can still have fun and go to the bar and things like that but there are some things that she cant and shouldnt wear anymore, shes not 25 anymore. She can still look sexy and decent for her age by wearing something other than platform heels and a leopard miniskirt.

I was going to say that the shoes were OK before I read your additional details. Sounds like to me that she is going through a bit of a mid life crisis. Short skirt has got to go. But I think the rest could be pulled off in a classy manner, say with a blazer and a nice pair of slacks. Maybe you should tell your mom or whomever that she looks a bit slutty and to dress it down a little.

appropriate and inappropriate attire is dependent on
1. the occasion
2. comfort level
The platform heels sound like a great idea for bars. If she feels good about herself wearing sexy clothes more power to her. Who shud judge her anyway?
remember She needs a break more than anybody else, she's probably got her hands full with the kids anyway

if she cant walk in them don't let her wear them. i had high heels when i was 13 but that's because the store didn't have anything else in my size. and then there is the sneaky approach and pick out an appropriate dress that doesn't go with the heels at all. and finally shes 13 pray you raised her the best you could and let her decide.

something tells me you might be talking about yourself, anyway...
whether you are or not doesnt matter. Yeah i do think it is totally appropriate, you are as young as you feel! i am 14 and i love to wear skirts an skimpy tops. do it when you can or you want have time to have fun. to be honest, thinking about it, some people (like my mother) think i'm too young to dress up like that but then when i am older like 18 she will probably think that i should concentrate at uni and get good grades and all and when you are out of university then you have to worry about your job, then social life and having kids (if you want to) and when you do have kids you gotta spend the rest of your life looking after them. so when is the appropraite age? there isn't one. wear what you want to so long as it is decent. hehe x

Well it is just for when she's at the bar. If it is affecting her children in any way they should tell her. It might be a bit more appropriate if she covered up a bit more but if she has it then she should flaunt it responsibly
Hope i Helped

It's not so much what she wears as how she conducts herself when she wears it. Ifl it makes her feel confident and sociable then great! But if she's going home because of strangers afterwards, then the clothing is only telling of something else going on.
People who respect themselves and others can wear whatever they want with dignity and no one should judge them.

The overriding question is: How does she look in that outfit?
I know women much older than 49 who look smashing, but others much younger, who have given up on looking good.

she is an adult and has the right to do what she wishes. who is anyone to judge who she is? to say whether or not it's appropriate is inappropriate in itself. what someone wears should never be in question. now is she out dressed like that to get with someone, or is she just out having a good time? if she's doing it to hook up with someone, then she's got the wrong motives. but if her and her friends want to get together and jive around like that, more power to them. that shows extreme confidence, and is completely acceptable.
