Was anyone really surprised by the result last night. Notre Dame got spanked by the only two good teams they played this year and should have lost to an average Mich State team if MSU doesn't blow it.
That make 9 straight bowl losses when will the media jump off this bandwagon?

Notre Dame is still my favorite collegiate team, but they have been over-hyped since Ty Willingham was hired as coach a few years back. They keep getting ranked too high in all the polls, but hopefully with the departure of Brady Quinn and Jeff Simardjza, all the voters in the AP Poll will knock Notre Dame down quite a few rungs on the ladder.

I don't hate Notre Dame. I actually used to be a big ND fan. But they are easily the most over hyped football team of all time.

Notre Dame is all history and tradition...nothing more, and I also agree that Brady Quinn is the most over-rated QB in college Football..I guarantee Brady Quinn will be a monumental bust in the NFL...plus I'm still hating on Notre Dame after they dissed my boy Ty Willingham

Absolutely love it! Notre Dame has all the breaks and they still suck. On TV every week, ESPN Classic showing every game they ever won every day (or so it seems). Brady Quinn gets every preseason magazine cover and that genious Lou Holtz picks them to win it all. The media doing everything they can to recruit for them. BCS letting them in even though there are alot more deserving teams then them every year. the misconception that their schedule is tough when its not. 9 straight bowl losses. Of course the best thing about the bowl streak is that its 9 straight.....and counting! Go Irish, nothing better than seeing you get hammered!

I hate them and love them! I hate the fact they are overhyped, overated, and undertalented EVERY YEAR. Brady Quinn is a fraud and Jamarcus RUssel proved last night he is better than him in every way, shape and form! However. . . I bet the house, farm, and retirement on LSU because it was such a no brainer that they would KILL notre dame!!!!! I love Notre Dame for continually making me TONS OF MONEY BECAUSE THEY SUCK SO BAD!!! WHoooo Hoooooo! Maybe if the kiss butt powers that be quit putting Notre Dame in bowl games they don't deserve. . they wouldn't be riding a RECORD 9 GAME BOWL LOSING STREAK!!! I LOVE IT. . NOTRE DAME SUCKS!!! It isn't touchdown Jesus anymore. . . It is disgusted Jesus. . .he is throwing his arms up in complete disgust!!!!

They have a good argument. As was stated of their own network deal. Also basically everyone loves them or hates them, much like the Cowboys. If College Football has one then after all these years then they pretty much fit it. Although I think the Service Schools are closer to REALLY being America's team(after all they are in the service of America).

No the problem is that LSU is one of the most underrated teams the Irish are a good football team with a great QB (even if he had 3 picks) the got out played and out coached plain and simple

pretty much. no surprise.

someday these dudes will not get bowl games they don't deserve so they can actually play a team they can run with.

it's sweet when notre dame gets schooled and embarassed.

The are overrated every year. They get put in a bowl game with a team they can't touch. They have lost their last 9 bowl games and haven't won one since 1994.
