both films have their high points but cinematically speaking .. i would rate Dhoom slightly higher than Dhoom II ... the story of Dhoom managed to engage the viewer while Dhoom II was technical gimmicry and a rockin Hrithik all the way ... John in Dhoom I was good too and the chemistry between Abhishek and him was much more colorful and loaded .. music wise Dhoom rocked .. remember the Tata Young number .. also the fact that Dhoom II recycled some of Dhoom I tracks shows how good the music of Dhoom I was ... in its entireity as a movie Dhoom was superior to Dhoom II - no questions about it .. but Dhoom II was paisa wasool too ..

dhoom is nice movie exactly real dhoom like dhoom1 not a dhoom 2 so i think dhoom 1 is better than dhoom2

My vote will go to DHOOM -2 because of HRITHIK and the amazing stunts , also the camera work and locations are better than Dhoom-1 .

Dhoom 2 is the best because of Hrithik of course. Despite people constantly telling me that he's a flop, he's always been my favourite actor. No one can replace him, he's still the best!! What made it an awesome movie was the fact that there was a happy ending...for Hrithik!

Dhoom is best bcoz of john but dhoom 2 is not so interesting and hrithiik and aish ki jodi nahi jamti

Well, i think dhoom 2 didn't have too much of a different story than dhoom, but hey did add new koool stunts and b/c of hrithik and aishwarya's couple, it made it the bettter one!

it surely has to be dhoom 2..its all due to hritik!!! he just stole the movie from the uninspiring ash and quite frankly a flabby abhishek..
but more than that it was due to to the fact that dhoom 2 has more razmatazz is more sleeker. and the rest was hritik hritik and more hritik!! he is apollo of the indian cinema today...
