I would say toyota because when honda comes out with a new car, toyota comes out with something exactly like it. Ex. The oddysey, toyota made the sienna like 1 year later. The fit then toyota made the yaris 2 years later. Nissan could also be a competitor but they aren't up there like toyota and honda.

the magazine HCI did a article on the rivalry between honda and toyota. but i would think toyota and nissan would be a larger rival due to the six cylinder cars such as the nissan skyline, and the toyota supra, the 240sx vs the corolla gts
the sr20 powered cars vs the 4age powered cars, honda is mainly front wheel drive four cylinders, no real factory big power cars. though i am a big honda fan cant say they are in the same ball park as some of the other companies until you start modifying them.

Any major Japanese auto maker usually Toyota but most Japanese cars are a good buy anyway. I Personally love Honda and think they are a good reliably investment.

but i believe that honda are so much better looking
toyota's are cheaper though..thats why
but honda is so worth it..it could last for so long
iwork at honda in service and i've seen old cars that has
200k miles on em and it still drives good..
