I know this girl who, whenever she gets into a fight or argument with someone, she never admits it when she's wrong. Half of the time SHE is the one who's wrong but she always makes the other person think that they are wrong. For example, Once my husband took me and her out to a restaurant and we had to pick her up at home. We got lost on the way because she gave us the wrong directions and my husband told her that. After we got there, she was like, your husband was being so rude and I was like, sorry about that and she was giving me attitude all night. After we got home, I told her that she really gave us wrong directions but she was insisting that she didn't. What the hell is up with this girl?

She has a huge inferiority complex. People like that can only make themselves look better by making other people look worse. There is a saying, "There are two ways to be the tallest tree in the forrest. One way is to cut down all the other trees." (I forgot the second way) It appears your friend is out to cut all the other trees down so she can look good. I'd say avoid her.

She ate a bit too much of pride. And maybe she's afraid of what the consequences might be. But one thing's for sure, you should never trust this person. I don't like people who are so weak. I think people who don't want to admit to committing mistakes are weak. They feel that when they make mistakes that makes them less of a person. Stay away from her.

You know, she may be like someone I know. As a matter of fact, I just posted a question regarding covert aggressive behavior. There's a book called "Wolves in Sheeps Clothing" that seems to fit the individual I'm dealing with to a tee. The cover of the book has a wolf peering out of a sheep's costume. These individuals have to stay in control and are quite manipulative, using whatever tactics (guilt, diversion, your conscience, lies, etc) to maintain their "upper status" (my own homemade word) in the relationship and to get whatever they want.
