The founder of Skype has a project coming up. It has something to do with internet television. It's called VENICE. I don't know when it's coming out yet.

due to be introduced widespread in the next 2 years. telecoms company are working with TV manufacturers to market internet TVs next year ( 08 )

You'll plug your TV into your broadband and hey presto, get 1,000 of channels.

Doubt they'll be free.

You need 6Mb link to watch decent HD TV

Over the internet some channels are free as mentioned above, but there is no QOS so you'll get interupted streaming...not really watchable in my opinion.

There are a number of free to view internet TV channels but they're mostly rubbish!
