My skin type seems to change frequently enough. One time it's dry around the cheeks and normal on my t-zone, then (like now) it looks really oily. I'm wondering is it the office I'm in (the central heating is on here). I have max factor pan stick in cool copper which is dark enough, I like it but my skin seems to be looking really oily when I have it on! Would a liquid foundation be better and if so, any recommendations on which type to use? I'm 25.

Try Estee Lauder Double Wear. Good for combination skin, and stays on all day.

I Say...
Use A Slightly Liquid Foundation,
And Then To Stop You Skin Looking Oily
Use That Matt Paper Stuff You Can Get It From Boots
Dab It On Your Face On The Oily Bits
And It Absorbs Any Excess Oil
Its Brill!!

Well It Works For Me.

The best foundation in your case is no foundation. If you put any foundation or concealers on oily skin it will just clog up your pores and aggravate the condition further. If you really want the "matte finish look" I would suggest Nivia Tinted Moisturizers as it doesn't clog the pores. So for a while try using a combination of some Clearasil cleansing products for oily skin and the Nivia Tinted Moisturizers. Hope I helped :]

A liquid foundation such as revlon or mabeline. Always apply a moisturiser first..

My office has electric heating giving a very dry atmosphere, and my skin starts to feel tight, so I put on some moisturiser during the afternoon. It just soaks in and feels good!!

As you have oily patches I suggest a dab of light powder on those, after applying the foundation.

So keep some on you..

If you can spend a little more, Jane Iredale is THE BEST foundation you can get (without it being way expensive). It is mineral based and actually improves the look of your skin. Every facial lady I see tells me to spend the money on it, they said do what you want with eyeshoadow, etc. but foundation soaks into the skin a lot more so put healthy minerals on it. I love it. Make sure you avoid MAC and Clinique, both tested as worst foundations out there.

I love the face base foundation from the body shop - use this either on its own or with liquid foundation (I use Avon stuff - think its called Perfect Wear foundation - natural not matte) over the top. Make sure you cleanse thoroughly and moisturise, at night and first thing in the morning to prevent your skin from drying out.

well my personal opinion would be don't wear it at all...a lot of women happen to look much more beautiful without it...buuut it all depends on the person and their comfort level. so i'd suggest either using the loose mineral foundations (ex. bare minerals - you can get that at sephora aswell as online and through the tv.) also physicians formula, almay and clinique are great companies to look at for foundations as they're all hypoallergenic (won't clog pores) and make their foundations based on skin types (oily, dry, combination, etc...) the state of your skin and foundation could also be the result of where you work...how much foundation you apply and how often you touch your face - i had to stop using foundation cause i touched my face a lot and that was the main reason i found it to get oily and clog pores.
hopefully you're able to find what you're looking for!! :)

This might not be helpful, but I know there is a foundation that is supposed to balance out differences in skin tones. You can buy it in Boots! Try asking on the make up counter
