Usually about 7 or 8 hours, it depends on the person. Sounds like you have insomnia. Insomnia doesn't just mean you can't get to sleep at night, it also includes early awakenings. I myself have been up since 3:15 this morning and I am exhausted. It's frustrating. I take trazadone at night, but it doesn't always keep me asleep all night, but usually it does.

Teenagers are said to need 8-9 hours of sleep (though many don't get that much) and from there on the ammount of sleep you need slowy decreases with age. The common ammount of sleep is anywhere from 6 to 8 hours.

it changes according to your metabolism may be six hours is enough for you .But it will change due to seasons, your health, the work you have done, your mood, the things you eat .
But if you are exhausted try not to drink tea, nescafe, coke, and some fruits as apple before sleeping. And for a qualified sleep, the environment should be dark and silent.Try to be distant from mobile phone while you are sleeping also.
Good luck

6 to 8 hours is normal. It sounds like you have a vitamin deficiency or possibly low blood sugar. You should think about seeing a doctor for a check up.

I have read once that 8 hours is normal. 5 hours is also good if you are young. But try to avoid it because when you sleep your body gains energy. Why don't you want to gain more energy to make your all day wonderful. ;)

I get the same amount as you, but my day is filled with interesting things and I have a good diet also. Maybe you should try changing your diet and if that does not work, consult with your doctor.
