It's your feeling response to a person you want to relate to in a deep way...sharing a great deal of yourself...to meet your needs for a close relationship. Love is more than an emotion. It's a complex composite of many emotions, which are connected to numerous values and attitudes. Which ones? Sexual desire is a common one. Also respect, interest, satisfaction, trust, enjoyment, excitement, fear...practically any emotion triggered by the relationship. It's different for every person. That's right, there's no one emotion that everyone recognizes as "love," even though the whole world talks about it as if there were. Your love feelings are not only unique, but they are different for each person you love.

So both these statements: "Love is real," and "There is no such thing as love" are true.

I believe love comes in many forms.

The love for GOD and for your children, I feel bypass all the other loves there are.

Love for a spouse, can be deep and last a life time, but can be replaced.
Love for family, can last forever, or die as soon as something disrups the family chain.

Love for friends can be a life time, with many ups and downs to hurdle.

Love for the beauty God grants us each day to see and enjoy on this earth lives on forever.

Love for a hobby can blossom, but can also fade.

Love is being able to admit to being wrong, admit to being pleased and happy. Love is great for all of us to share.

Love is a social construction - we humans invented it to explain our, often, otherwise unexplainable actions. Love "excuses" our irrational behaviours.
