Yes I have automatic (EFT, electronic fund transfer) set-up for my car payment. It works out really well for me because I am bad about remembering to pay my bills. Remember that you must always have money in your account on the day your EFT is scheduled to come out and that if you ever change your bank information that you must immediately contact your lein holder to give them the new information. Contact your lein holder to set up automatic payments...it can sometimes take 1-2 months before it is active.

We have my wifes beetle leased and the payments come out automatically. We had to fill out some form from the leasing company, but it works.

If you are confident your funds will always be available on the day the EF goes through then I say it is the most convenient way to pay a loan. I would not lease a car however.

Talk to whoever you leased the car from, and tell them you want to set up an automatic transfer from your account for this. They should be able to give you the paperwork to set it up.

Not anymore. We were paying $256 a month for hubby's Dodge Stratus but we've paid it off, :)
