Would it shake your "faith" in astrology to know that the time tables for delineating zodiacs is off by one month? As you know, our zodiacs reflect what constellation the sun was in when we were born...however, the earth has a 26,000 year wobble in its axis and, because of this, the current zodiac calendar is off by a full month from when it was first created. That is not question, it is a fact, check your star chart. How can you still believe in this, when the dates don't match up? How can you possibly explain this?

You're absolutely right, and when I found out about this it did shake my interest (it wasn't really faith, just an amusement) in it. I figured it out last year after sunset. How can anyone say that the sun was in Gemini when the constellation Gemini was still above the horizon after sunset? I can't possibly give credibility to anything that tells me not to believe my eyes.

The field of astrology is going to have to adjust everything one sign over, and that's a major shake-up, but if it doesn't things are just going to get even more out of whack as time goes on.

I'm not a believer in astrology - but your point is irrelevant.

The stars were originally used to keep track of the seasons. The "signs" of the zodiac were invented long before people starting picking out shapes in the sky. Taurus, for example, represented the vernal equinox, because that was the start of mating season. "Leo" was so-named because that is when the summer drought drove the lions in from the desert (in Egypt). Centuries later, astrologers connected the stars together to represent a bull and a lion, respectively. Taurus is still in the spring, and Leo is still summer, Scorpio is still fall, Capricorn is still winter. The section of the solar year remains constant - it has nothing to do with what group of stars the sun happens to inhabit.

(But there are newer versions of astrology that are based on the sun's position.)

I never heard the wobble caused the change from traditional astrology to the sidereal. It supposed to be because the Earth itself has moved in relation to the other planetary bodies.
The Bible mentions the "sweet influences" of the Pleiades in
Job. And Genesis calls the forces of Creation waters. As these
magnetic forces are constantly pushing and pulling, flowing
back and forth.
When people ask me if I believe in astrology. I say, "Do I believe
there are forces at work that are predictable? Yes, I believe that!
But do I out my faith in them? Things that change from day to day, and hour to hour? No, I don't put my faith in it!"
