How do I stop the email alert on my Samsung D807?

I love this phone, but when I first got it and was playing with it, I turned on the feature where the phone alerts you each time an email comes in. Handy feature, right?

NOOO! It's annoying as hell! But now I can't figure out how to turn it off.

You might no be able to change the alert setting without emptying the mailbox. Other than that it should be in the settings. Try looking in the book. You should be able to find the path in there.
