I have a list of around a 1,000 people and there locations. I want to assign a colour to each person (depending on the amount of assets they have). Is it possible to import this into google earth so that I will quickly be able to identify which areas have alot of red people for example?

What I am trying to find out is where is worth traveling to to meet clients as I would want to make a long journey for only 1 or 2 people. If you have any other ideas how google eath (or anything else for this matter) could help me... please let me know. THANKS!!

Sorry it should read 'I wouldn't want to travel for 1 or 2 people'

1000 thumbtacks is a lot in a map. How about putting your list in Excell and sorting by State, or region or whatever. I'm not sure about the asset thing but a secondary sort by asset high to low might give you the result you want.

If your only going to make the travel for 1 or 2 ppl then why bother with all the different colors? Just get an actual map and put it up on your wall, and get thumbtacks. I highly doubt google earth will let you do what you want. Plus, it sounds like you don't really need too, if you are only going to visit a few folks from it.

It does sound like a *quite complicated* way of solving a simple problem.

I agreee with the answer above... a world map and sticky dots, or thumb tacks
