before you buy sport bike take a rider course you have no idea how much power a sport bike has. There is a lot more about riding that you don't know. We would love to have you as a fellow rider but not as a statistic

find someone with some knowledge of the bikes you are looking at so you don't get ripped

Make sure you take the MSF class and get a smaller bike to start like a Kawasaki Ninja 250. Not a lot of power but a good bike to learn on and keep you from whacking yourself. Most folks move up after that.

if you have never ridden a dirtbike or anything dont get something expensive,id start off on a old(early 90's) kawaski 500 ninja,fast but not dangerous,parts are cheep and easy to find(you will drop it)once you are ready get a buell

check the newspaper, the yellow pages for dealers, and local ad papers they often carry good deals and great rip offs so be careful there.
