The government should be spending money making sure British people have jobs, homes and health care not pandering to people who shouldn't even be here in the first place and won't even try to integrate.

I am actually married to an Immigrant, and am only third generation English myself, my family are from Italy and France, but i do find it questionable that if an immigrant rapes someone in this country, we tax payers have to pay to house them in prison. There should be an agreement with the countries of origin that should particular crimes be commited, then they serve their sentence in that country. Because trust me, british prisons are actually more comfortable than being free in alot of these countries! That's what I think, and my husband agrees, though in his country, if someone attacks a girl or a child, they pay for it with their lives, whether that is through the court systems or plain simple venegence on the part of the victims family. When a rapist is murdered, the police do nothing. I really think that that is the way to go, much as I respect and follow the law, it is a pile of crap that if you kill or rape someone, you get to spend ten years in a nice prison with a tv and all that. At the very least you should be thrown in a hole and left there for the duration of your sentence. If you violate another humans rights, it should be done at the loss of your own.

I agree. We have the same problem in America. Tax forms are printed in over 30 languages. ESL (English as a Second Language) programs are readily available and usually free, but few seem to take advantage of them.
Remember, though, that it is a 2 way street. How many English-speaking people bother to learn the native language when traveling abroad? Not many. I, personally, make it a point to do so. A basic grasp of the local language (and customs) makes the journey much more enjoyable.

I was in court recently awaiting a motoring offence trial whilst a Muslim was also awaiting trial on something. He managed to liaise quite well IN English with the court official and was even speaking English with his friend......Then an interpreter/solicitor came and suddenly it all changed to his home language! He would easily have been able to stand trial and understand EVERYTHING that was going on without this waste of public money!! Apparently the trial was adjourned so he could have the consequences of the accusations explained to him!

Yes, you would think this would be the logical approach. But....the government is full of morons, and the civil rights lawyers (who should be shot, and urinated on) would have a field day with this. All it would take is one foreigner to say "hububububa" and that would be it, civil liberties would be violated, court action, all at the tax payers expense, and of course we can't offend anyone, so they would win. Then we would be back to paying for translators. So i guess there are just skipping the middle step, maybe their not morons after all.......hmmmm.....yeah they still are.

Try going to any Eastern European country where these immigrants come from and ask from translation...Go to Russia and ask the Russian Government to translate everything in ENGLISH ...You will be the first to be KICKED OUT from that country or else you would be sitting in some siberian jail...
I feel UK is the only stupid country where everything will be translated to Russian or Bulgarian ...

This is why I'm really getting a sick feeling in my stomach. The 'international communty' has shoved this multicultural agenda down our throats and we took it because it 'sounded' good.
I hope in the furture, countries start realizing that their nation's traditions are more valuable then a bunch of ungrateful squatters.
We're paying a big price tag too!

Excuse us..! better see the English test that those immigrants should go through which I have given to five native English speakers all above 16 years of age and none of them was able to get through half of it.
Tell me, how many native English speakers who speaks a foreign language? Brits have stayed in India over three centuries without being able to speak very simple phrases..!
