what is the effect of lunar ans solar eclipse on a pregnant woman and its baby?What are the precautions to be taken during those hrs?here in India the woman is asked literaly not to move frm bed n nor the position she sleeps for those many hrs and not to scratch anywhere on her body.Is it the same whole world?WHat more do i do ?

As far as I know, the only effect that an eclpise can have on any person (pregnant or not) is that if you look directly at a solar eclipse, you will damage your eyesight, and might even go blind.

There have always been superstitions about eclipses, but there is no scientific evidence to back them up. So don't worry, do what you feel comfortablewith, and all will be fine.

There is absolutely NO EFFECT from the moon or the sun. This idea goes back thousands of years ago to a time when science did not exist and had not explained why eclipses happen.

It is ok.....You don't have to follow those precautions.

I've never heard of that. It sounds like a cultural precaution. Honestly, I've never been told anything about what to do during an eclipse while pregnant. If anything, I would imagine we would be told to stay inside.
