That is a very good question. I have always gone with what our government was doing. Untill resently I have supported the Isreales and their plight against Palestine. And why? Because it seemed the right thing to do. Acording to the media and the government. But since I have been researching over the internet about the struggles between Isreal and Palestine. I have come to feel sorry for the Palestineans. I dont have any thoughts about their differences in religion, I am just concerned that we as a world power are mostly comcerened with helping the aggressor, rather than helping the underdog. It seems the Palestineans where handed a raw deal ever since the war in 1947 or somewhere around that time. And the Israelies have been chopping away at their country and their dignity, and expecting the free world to back them completly. I watch news from around the world on the internet, and ,YES, the media in this country is mostly propaganda.

I am a citizen of the USA.
I believe that I have a basic understanding of the turmoil between Israel and Palestine, including the US involvement. However, I am not Israeli, Jewish, or Palestinian. So I am an outsider and may not know all of the facts. Therefore, I tread lightly on this issue.
Our media is no more biased that some others I have seen. It depends what part of the country you live in. Some newspapers are more liberally slanted than others. My newspaper has a liberal bias, but the OpEd pages present both liberal and conservative commentaries.
No, I do not believe that the media is MOSTLY propaganda. A lot of good reporting comes from the news media -- particularly investigative pieces. I believe they serve a purpose in society and I read the newspaper and several news magazines every day/week/month that they are published. I watch the evening or morning news whenever I have the chance. However, I don't blindly believe everything that I see, hear, or read. That's why God gave me a brain, and I use it!
By the way, I do not consider yellow journalism or the tabloids to be the media.

Israel and Palestine? I don't have a full understanding no, but, I do know that the American government supports Israel on every issue. As long as our government supports one side over the other we are contributing to the turmoil.
I do believe that our media is bias. For example: Were not permitted to show the coffins of American soldiers but, its ok to show the photo's of the dead bodies of Saddam and his sons.
I don't believe that its always been this way. But, in the last 7 years or so; I find that I have to weed thru the bs when dealing with information from the media

I believe now of days things on TV are all about "ratings" so they will exaggerate things to the highest extent just so the channel or network can get ratings. Everything is about money and someone stepping over the next guy to get the top.
