A C1? Very rarely even survived, I don't think I've ever seen on in my career because they generally do not receive prompt enough medical attention.
C1 Quads are ventilator dependent, and paralyzed from the level of injury (C1 or very top of the neck) down. If there is no head injury then her mentation will remain intact.

C1 is the first cervical vertebra. It fractured and severed her spinal column. Quadriplegic means she cannot use her arms or legs and will have no feeling from her neck down. This is the worst possible injury a person can have.

This means that she is paralyzed from her 1st cervical vertabra on down. She will not be able to move anything below her neck. There are 8 cervical vertabrae in the neck. Each bone has it's own number. She broke the bone closest to the head. The very beginning of her neck. I'm sorry to hear that and I hope she does have a possibility of recovering. Usually with this injury you are like this for life.

I am sorry to hear of your girlfriend's accident. Unfortunately, the type of injury she suffered is very serious. She will have complete paralysis of arms, body and legs. She will not be able to breath on her own and will be dependent on a ventilator. Complete personal assistance will be required. She will need help with washing, dressing, and with bowel and bladder management. This is one of the most serious neck injuries a person can have. I wish you and her the best of luck.

Yeah that would put her at 6 weeks by Dr. calculations. They do date pregnancy from the 1st day of the last period. If your accident happened on the 17th that would have been right around the time she would be ovulating. highest chance of getting pregnant during that time. In reality a woman is not pregnant for the 1st 2 weeks of her pregnancy going by the way Dr.s calculate. Step up and be a good dad buddy.
