Look up and download programs such as ipod access or ipod agent.

I keep the copies of the ".exe" files on my ipod so that I can install them on any computer that I want to "backup" the music that's on my ipod onto.

If you have 2 USB ports:
Do the following:
1. Connect your boyfriend's iPod to your computer.
2. Connect your iPod to your computer.
3. If iTunes isn't open already, open iTunes.
4. After you have done that, you should see 2 ipod's icon on the left (1 is your boyfriend's and 1 is yours). Click on your boyfriend's.
5. Select the songs you want to copy. once that is done the songs should be highlighted in dark blue. Then drag and drop 1 song on your iPod icon.
6. It may take while to transfer.
7. Dont disconnect the iPod, until it says so.

If you have 1 USB port:
Do the following:
1. Connect your boyfriend' iPod to your computer.
2. If iTunes isn't open, open it.
3. After you have done that, you should see 1 iPod icon. Click on it.
4. Select the songs you want to copy. Once you have done that, the songs should be highlighted in dark blue.
5. Drag and drop each song into the libary.
6. It may take a while, but it's worth it.
7. Once you have transferred every song, disconnect the iPod and connect yours.
8. Select the first song and press and hold the shift key, and click on the last song. once that is done, the song should be highlighted in dark blue.
9. Drag and drop 1 song from the libary to your iPod icon.
10. It will take time again.
11. Dont disconnect your iPod until it is done.

Good luck.

You cant. Apple want to eliminate stealing of music, so you cannot transfer iPod to computer
HOWEVER, if you bring your laptop to your boyfriend's house, and if he has a Network set up, you can transfer music. Go into the Network via your computer, and you basically have to find all the music on the computer (fortunatly, iTunes sorts it by artist). Click on these files, and drag them into your computer. Then open with iTunes.
good luck

either plug up your iPod to his computer and load up the songs, or pick a few songs and burn a CD and load that up to your iTunes.
