You have to find some sort of proxy site if the school has it blocked. Most proxy sites get blocked after a day or so of use though because they show up on the server as being used. One extremely common site for proxies is peacefire.org/ That site hosts plenty of other sites such as www.federalhotdog.com/ and www.gravitywars.com/ that you can access other sites through. Also, you can sign up for a subscription to their updates!!!!! A.K.A. - Being notified of each time they put out a new url to bypass censoring. (The form for this is found on all of their sub-sites) :D Have fun with your less censored browsing!!!

Depedns where you are but here in the UK most of the schools have the web provided via RM. RM have there own blocking methods and even the schools IT technician will not be able to circumvent these. If you are in the UK and you see the RM filter page then you will not be able to do anything about unless you manage to find one of the web proxies that is not blocked.
Alternatively you can set up your own PC at home to route the pages to you as long as it is on and you give it a DNS name using a service like ODS.ORG. This will let you access your home pc using the DNS name like myhomepc.ods.org and then you have multiple options open to you...
If you can run software off a memory stick you may be able to use PC Anywhere or the free VNC client (May schools allow VNC through the firewall so they can do admin stuff). If you use VNC or PC Anwhere you will be able to see you home desktop and can browse what you like as you are effectivley using your own PC. If you can't run software due to restictions you can set up a web based VNC and use the XP Built in web server or make your PC a web proxy...
Don't forget it will filter on keywords so if the keywords like myspace make up part of the URL which can happen even with a web proxy (Look at what submits in the status bar) then the page will still be blocked..

There are no ways to unblock it, but there are ways to get around it. One website is http://stupidcensorship.com or use the new one www.merrynewyear.com and if they are blocked look for the new ones on www.peacefire.org

Your college/artwork clear out can discover a proxy as quickly as you are attempting it and the two block it on the fly or notify an admin to dam it manually. the nice and snug button is that each and every person proxy's will at last get blocked. because of the fact the filtering application gets greater progressed they gets blocked swifter and swifter. there is likewise the query of the regulations and regulations you're breaking via attempting to hack their secure practices equipment. ultimately whether you get carry of a proxy to artwork for a little while you're inviting the proxy proprietor, lots of whom are making use of the proxy for hacking purposes, to contaminate and or hijack your college/artwork community. examine greater on the hazards of proxy's under.

I don't think school should be a place for myspacing. it's a place for learning and let myspace go for now.

You can't. These things are blocked for a reason, i.e., to keep you safe from pedophiles, sexual predators, and other bad guys.
Stop trying to bend the rules.

I don't suggest doing this. If you do figure out a way, you could get in a lot of trouble. They can monitor what you do. And trust me they do.
