Are you jealous that that Alzheimer's-ridden body has had a long, successful career and has had an inspirational affect on millions of people? Are you jealous of his stature as an honorable man, full of integrity, wisdom and an abiding love for his country. Are you jealous of these virtues in that Alzheimer's-ridden body because you know you will never gain even one billionth of the respect and admiration that Charlton Heston has received over his long and productive life?
Could the reason you are so repulsed by Charlton Heston be that you know if you lived to be 100, you will only be known for asking obnoxious questions on a meaningless site that will have absolutely no affect on society? And that you will die having lived a meaningless existence with no accomplishments to speak of?

Alzheimer's is a cruel disease. No matter what your feelings are about the NRA or Heston, making jokes or snide comments about someone with Alzheimer's is wrong. You need to get down on your knees and pray to God you are spared this death. There are many ways to die; Alzheimer's is particularly nasty.

I wish the man would live forever, really. Because of his stand on American's keeping their guns, in the National Riffle Association, we American's continue to have the RIGHT to bare arms, and not just the criminals who will and do get them illegally, with or without a constitutional right. When a thief, and/or murderer breaks into your home and endangers you, and the life of your children, and you can't get out to safety, won't you wish then, you would have a gun?

What a weird question...I like Heston, so am in no hurry to see him go, but hey when it is his time, if he wants to go to his Maker packing, I for one would support his right to do so.

Its amazing how cheeseweiners like yourself go after people trying to make a difference and don't have the stones for people to respond to you "personally". I'd love to know where you live and see if I could "alter" your feelings about being able to protect yourself and family.
