75 = n + n-2 + n-4
75 = 3n-6
75+6=3n
(75+6)/3=n
81/3=n
27=n, where n is the largest number
23, 25, 27 are the three consecutive odd numbers that sum to 75

How about this. Since there are 3 numbers, divide 75 by 3 = 25. Pick the number one less (24) and the other number one more (26). Now, 24 + 25 + 26 = 75 and 24,25,and 26 are consecutive. Bingo! You have the answer.

Largest number would be 30.
20, 25, 30
20 + 25 + 30 = 75
Nope this is wrong! I read your question wrong. I was thinking of Three consecutive multiples of five. The others are right. 23, 25, and 27. The largest number is 27.
23 + 25 + 27 = 75 I blame it on no caffeine! Sorry!

You can break it down as follows.
There are three numbers. The smallest is x.
The next one, being odd, is x+2
The last one, also being odd, is x+4
So you an write an equation like this.
x + (x + 2) + (x + 4) = 75
When you solve it, you get
3x + 6 = 75
3x = 69
x = 23
Therefore the three numbers must be
x = 23
x + 2 = 25
x + 4 = 27
Total = 75
