Considering that that Natives were here for thousands of years before the euro-invasion...I would have to say...it could be viewed as that by some.

Consider now-a-days. A place that has been inhabited for thousands of years, than Asians(just for example) decided to fly in on a big jet and say, hey I like it here...I think I will call it mine and name it ______ and say that it's the "New world" and nobody can stop me!!!! The people already there would name them illegal immigrants...and...

Okay, so there would most likely be war...but that is EXactly what happened when the europeans came here...and CLAIMED a land that was already inhabited by millions of people.

although the term was not yet created, it could have very well been of use back then.

You can't be an "illegal" alien if there were no laws against it when you came. Besides, the ancestors of the Native Americans came over from Siberia and Asia a few thousand years ago, too.

No. If the tribes had fought against the British together maybe it would still be land peppered with Nations instead of one nations like it is now.

If everybody went back to where they came from, the Red peoples would have to go back to Atlantis. And it doesn't exist any more.
