First of all you should be concerned with the minimum games requirement, so you have to make sure you meet that before even thinking about sitting a goalie. If you don't have one or you've met the minimum games then I'd look at the situation. How many days are left in the week, how many goalie starts does your opponent have left, how good are the rest of your golaies, how big or small of a margin are you winning in SV% or GAA? Generally speaking, its usually best just to leave your guys in. If you already have good stats they will most likely hold up through the rest of the week. The only time I really play with sitting goalies to preserve a good score is when its the end of the week and the matchup is tight and i am confident that my stats will hold up.
Rotating players from your bench or from the free agent list? If you mean from your bench then by all means yes! thats why you have a bench and try to get as deep of a roster as possible. Hockey is an every other day sport and you want to have as full of a daily roster as possible. If you mean from the free agent list, you need to look at your league rules and see if you have a max moves cap. if you do then you should be cautious about your moves and save some for the end of the season/playoffs. Capped or not, you should be looking weekly at making some player moves. If at the end of the week I need to try to get some more assists or penalty minutes I'll pick up a guy to replace one of my lesser guys on an off day. Be careful with this, you don't want your bench to become the free agent list because you'll begin to sacrifce some break out sleepers and its a bit time consuming. But yes you should definitely look to have as full of a roster as possible each day.

If you have two top shelf goalies, keep them in all the time...i've learned that in Fantasy Hockey the goalies are the key to winning.
As far as rotating your other players, that also depends on the depth of your team. I would leave a Jagr or Crosby type guy in all year. You don't want to lose valuable games later on because you put a Joe Schmoe in for a Jagr whenever you could, and not get any production from them.

Generally speaking in my league I first look at the opponent (is it a high scoring team, one playing very well, etc.), and decided if I want to play someone against that team or if both could play which would stand to do better.
It's a little scientific, because in my leagues goalies have to play a certain number of game.
Obviously the more they play the more saves they make, so the more chances they have the higher possibility is that later in the season one or two bad games won't hurt save percentage.
It hurts, though, to sit on a save percentage that is good and not play them because then you aren't getting the wins which is a different category in my leagues.

Depends on your fantasy league... and what the points scoring system for the goalies in Your League is.....most only require 2 appearances by goalies per week.... but by not playing them you also chance not getting Wins if that's a category of points as well.

Yes rotate your players out on their off days. Check how many starts are required for goalies in your league. I have never sat my goalies. If they were starting I had them in.
