Yes it was, we all know ND gets in on name recongnition. It really should have been Louisville, vs LSU and Louisville would have gotten beat to, but at least that would have played them closer.

Its crazy that team was rated by some media as the #1 preseason team in America. They were ranked ahead of LSU, USC and Michigan at the beginning of the season. It is amazing how much hype Notre Dame receives when they haven't earned it.

i'm an LSU fan and that i did not truly have any animosity in direction of ND. yet as quickly as that pretend punt exceeded off i wanted to make certain blood. you do not try those Pop Warner performs on LSU. anyhow Rutgers is a flash in the pan. They lost to Cincinnati, and individuals think of that they could have been a greater efficient opponent than ND? LSU is a countrywide Championship high quality group. A brutal highway schedule is the only clarification why they at the instant are not close to play in Glendale..

I am in no place to pick on them, because I am a Michigan fan. My team didn't look so good in their bowl, either. That said, I am also a Detroit Lions fan. (How is THAT for a joke of a team!? At least no one can claim that I'm a bandwagon fan!) There is a lot of talk about Detroit trying to get Brady Quinn in the draft, which I think is a bad idea. I don't trust these fancy, hot-shot, pretty boy quarterbacks. For every Peyton Manning, there is a Ryan Leaf. Last night helped solidify my feelings on the matter regarding Quinn. Oakland can have him!

The media hyped them up and they are #11 for a reason and besids New Orleans needed money, thats why the did not let LSU play in the Rose Bowl, so the IRISH ARE NOT A JOKE, they brought a lot of money to N.O. So thanks for the ND fans, New Orleans loves you, come back soon

It was funnier watching Michigan get embarrassed, but seeing the Irish get demolished was fun as well. Had it been unexpected, it would have been more enjoyable, but there was no question going in that they were totally overmatched and outclassed in this game, and there wasn't anything Jabba the Hut could do about it.

I'm a big fan of the SEC so I was vindicated by the huge victory. I hope this made the voters realize how wrong they were to "assume" ND into their poll. I also hope this game and the Boise State game went a long way to proving to the BCS how badly a playoff is needed.

Yeah, they're generally overrated by 5 to 10 spots in the polls. It's good to see them get whupped. It's a ripoff for a superior team that should have been invited to the Sugar Bowl to miss the chance to play.

Yeah they are pretty ridiculous. There are several teams that would have been better choices to play in that game then the hallowed Fighting Irish, although it's not if most of us didn't see this blowout coming.

Naw it was sad...cause you knew LSU was going to crush them. Notre Dame is sadly overrated.
