From a realistic physics point of view, space travel is actually a difficult thing to accomplish. While the travel itself is problematic (living things simply cannot move fast enough to cover great distances in space), it is also hard to have a food and water source in space. Also, living bodies lose a lot of muscle and bone mass while in space because there's no gravitation. Additionally it is not easy to detect other planets since they're so dim so it would be harder still to find a planet with life on it (like ours).
Ultimately, I think aliens probably do exist in the universe, but I think its unlikely that they're coming here. If they had solved all the problems cited above, they probably would be very obvious about being here, and there wouldn't be all that undercover stuff you get with UFO stories.

I think many pilots see them. I saw two UFOs in the army around 1980 hovering over a military base while I was a sergeant in the infantry (Yakima Firing Center) in Washington state. I have heard some say that it was a life changing position, but for me honestly, it was more like Wow, they really do exist and I don't think it about much since then unless someone asks. The UFO was pointed out by another guy who saw it zigzagging across the sky. He was exclaiming to everyone, "Look! Look! a UFO. I was the only one who looked since we were tired and it was late at night. I watched it for several minutes and all I could reall say was that it had two blinking lights like an airplane. It was extremely still and silent. It was right next to a star so it was easy to tell it wasn't moving at all. It suddenly shot across the sky to another one that we didn't even see till that moment and both UFOs sat motionless. We both tried to get others to look but noone was interested. I knew they were motionless since they were next to stars as I observed them with binoculars. After a few more minutes, one turned white (white light), and seemed to shoot off into space. It (they) moved too fast and hovered too perfectly, and accelerated and decelerated much too quickly to be anything possible with our known technology. I was an expert on military craft and now I am an engineer. The acceleration were not possible unless they able to somehow control the gravity or forces in acceleration. Things can't just stop on a dime like they did using anything we have in my opinion.

I believe in airborne objects that are not identifiable by observers. Do I believe in space men? No.
I think the speed of light is the universal speed limit. There is too much distance between stars to think another life form would have any reason to travel all this way taking thousands or tens of thousands of years and do noting but observe us and mutilate cattle.
I guess I would sooner believe in like a parallel dimension or universe and a life form that has figured out a way to make their way through.

Technically any thing is an object.
Any object up in the air is flying.
Any flying object you cannot identify is unidentified.
Therefore it is relatively easy to believe in Unidentified Flying Objects.
Technically a bird whose species you do not know is, when aloft, an unidentified flying object.
As to the sightings over Chicago's O'Hare airport, I haven't seen any pictures, still or video, nor have I heard from those who reported in their own words nor any taped reports from them, so I have no opinion on that event.

I just finished reading the article about the mysterious space rock...and they don't know what it is yet. I am assuming that it is some form of metiorite though. As for your question...YES I do believe other life exists and UFO's exist. There have been far too many sightings and unexplained events to be ignored.
Check out "1942 Battle of Los Angeles"....I don't think anyone can explain that one!!!

Well, it would be foolish to say that you don't believe in UFOs, because there will always be objects flying in the sky that can't be identified readily by humans.
The question is, are they extraterrestrial in origin? As for me personally, I have no problem believing that science doesn't explain everything that happens in the world. We're always discovering new things. And while alien contact would be our biggest discovery since we learned the world wasn't flat, maybe we will find that out someday.
If you ask me, it would kind of suck to be alone in the universe. It's a sci-fi cliche, I know, but extraterrestrials could teach us a lot about ourselves and what it means to be human.

Covering up for sure. Here's the main reasons why the government, for decades, has chosen to cover up the existence of extra-terristrials:
1) Mass hysteria. Hollywood is to thank for that. Even if ET is just here to say hi, we're going to assume we're all doomed. Panic will ensue, disorder and chaos. They don't want that.
2) People will assume there is no God (though this is irrational, but the ignorant masses will still deduct this)
3) Our leaders will appear ineffectual and therefore lose control on society.
I have my own theories, however, on UFO's but I won't go into them now.

Here in Colorado we are having huge meteor showers and they're reporting that a huge bright something streaked across the sky this morning right above the city. I don't really believe in UFO's but ask ma again tomorrow.

OK, the mysterious object that hit the house is one of 20-50 "space rocks" that hit our planet daily. Read the news article about it. If you know anything about our earth you know that much of it is water so the unusual thing about this space rock is that it hit a house, that is very, very uncommon. But it doesn't mean the rock will open up and tiny green men will come marching out....
or does it??? Baahhahhaaahhaaahhhha
