Oh, I think they are flying way ABOVE the radar. Without Belichick this is at best an 8-8 team, (even in a tougher division they would be lucky to be 9-7) they have serious weaknesses at almost every position on the field except QB.

Belichick does a lot with his "smoke and mirror" show but now they must play first a team coached by a man who knows where all the smoke generators and mirrors are located, followed by two teams who can (and will) simply over-power them dispite any "smoke and mirrors."

I think that they will have a very tough time against the Jets, but even if they somehow manage to win that one, they are done like Christmas dinner from that point onward.......

The Pats and Colts should vie for the AFC Championship. In a way the Pats are flying under the radar because so much attention is being paid to the Chargers and Payton Manning. As far as against the Jets, the game is being hyped. I live on Long Island, so all I'm reading these days in the newspapers is the animosity between Bellichek and Mangini. The heck with Tom Brady and Chad Pennington, all that counts are the coaches. The Pats are 9 point favorites going into Sunday's game, yet most likely it will be a defensive battle. If Brady could generate some offense and put points on the board, the game should be over by half-time.

I could see them possibly going as far as the AFC championship game but not to the Superbowl this year. Most likely San Diego or Baltimore will win the Superbowl. They should be able to beat the Jets although the Jets could give them a good run for their money. If the Colts win, that would put them playing at San Diego. If the Colts lose, that would put them playing at Baltimore then probably taking on San Diego in the AFC championship game.

Typically I would agree they have the best big-game QB in Brady and the best coach to implement a game plan in Bill Bellicheck...they look like they could beat the Jets...but this year its just a matter of talent in the receiving core...you are asking a lot of Tom Brady to beat the Chargers and the Ravens since he doesn't have a single receiver that can consistently beat single coverage..(the way Deion Branch and David Givens would do last year)...you know teams are gonna stack up the front line to stop Dillon and Maroney and since you dont have a deep threat receiver, its hard for me to envision Brady being able to beat the rest of the AFC single-handedly..

Yes. The Pats are a strange team because they never get noticed much.

I attribute that to that fact that they are very balanced rather then having a standout offense/defense/special teams. And in reality those are the teams that win superbowls.

I think they will beat the Jets easily , but may have a tougher time if they end with San Diego down the road.

Most definitely, but Tom Brady plays best in the post season. I would love to see the Pat's go face to face with the Bolts.
