One time i went to walmart and upon returning home, i looked at my receipt and realized that one of the items that i had was not on their. it was the voice recorder and the price was around $40.oo
well, i thought, it wasnt my fault. the thing didnt scan and someone had to come over and do their override thing and i thought it scanned so i put it in the bag. well i fought with should i go back and tell or should i not. I couldnt keep it knowing i didnt pay for it so i took it back to walmart and told the people. They told me i didnt have to pay for it and that i was the most honest person they had ever met.
Have you ever been in a similar situation? Did you do the right thing?

You are a good person~~ I usually get over charged, never under charged, but once a cashier gave me $50.00 change instead of $5.00. When I brought it to her attention, she said it was right because that's what the register said the amount of change was. It took a while to show her where she made the error~~~~~~~

..yes..it was at pet smart....i bought big bag 25lb cat food and same of litter...then wanted to get nail clippers also but "they were so expensive!!"...just to cut nails on a cat (like $5.00)...but i put them in the cart...then at the checkout i must have forgot they were in the cart while i was struggling with the big bags of food and litter....and walked out with them while they were in the bottom of my cart.....WELL, my son was with me, and when i got to the car and loaded the stuff, i found them at the bottom of the cart and said, "oh i forgot to pay for these"....and we just looked at each other for a moment, turned around, and went back into the store.....(i didnt get them for free though)...
