House Resolution 288 is proposed by Mr Conyers. It specifically details proposed protection for Islamics. This appears to be a CAIR "special project" that is being sponsored by Mr Conyers. Please take a minute to read this proposed legislation from the next Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee. Granted, this was first introduced in May of 2005, but is still buried in the process.

Is this another step in the process of bringing America down from within?

Sounds to me like we are trying to have more respect for Islam than Islam has for us.

Case in point the Imams and their stunt on US Airways flight.
After 3 independent investigations it was clear the airline acted properly.

After 9/11 there was NO increase of hate crimes against Muslims that alone give testament to how tolerant we are as a nation.

How they mention the treatment of Qran but didn't mention the Bible or Torah or list all the holy books.

Tolerance is a two way street. When Muslim start showing tolernace towards other religions in their country I saw move forward on this bill tell they lets keep it out.

Also isn't this a endorsement of a religion?

we already have the bill of rights, this is just another way for the liberals to hand this country over. Next they will want OBL to get the Nobel Peace Prize just like the worlds biggest terrorist, Arafat.

We need to stop all this nonsense and get to protecting our country. EVERYONE must give up SOMETHING in the name of freedom, so let all these special interest groups LEAVE America and stop demanding Bills and special rights.

My goodness, this language will need to be changed:

"Whereas it should never be official policy of the United States Government to disparage the Quran, Islam, or any religion in any way, shape, or form;" ---

How could they mock Christians?--Oh, wait! I see.....it will never be OFFICIAL POLICY.

I know that this is not a question, but must weigh in.

I think that if the left really cared about innocent civilians, they would support killing terrorist who pose as civilians the moment they are captured.

Otherwise, we will have to chose between killing civilians at every enemy engagement or not fighting at all...

I think you should probably read this bill yourself. There isn't anything to do with Islamics in it.
