I would suggest that you stay with the monotone scheme of colors because you dont want to show out everyone else in the wedding, especially the bride. If you have a black dress with ivory accents in it I think that you should maybe get like an ivory clutch and some accessories, more like some faux pearls to bring the ivory out more. I also think that you should wear your hair up and not down because you want everyone to see the dress and with your hair down you wont be able to see the whole dress. For the shoes, I think you should just wear some nice black shoes, maybe like some pointy toed pumps or something like that. This should be fine in that case. And for your makeup, make it look more on the natural side, dont add any drastic colors to your face - maybe colors like gold, champagne or something like that would be best. Have fun @ the wedding!

I would get a colored bag that DOES NOT match the colors of the wedding. You don't want to try to fit in with the wedding party. Black shoes or black and ivory shoes. If your dress is tea length or shorter I would wear open toed shoes. Depending on how low the neckline is, I wouldn't wear a necklace. If you do, you could wear a single strand of pearls. Pearls always add class to an outfit, whether it's jeans or a dress, plus they'll accentuate the ivory in the ribbon. If you choose to get a colored bag, get one that isn't too bright. Probably a jewel toned (clutch is good) purse will add just the right touch!

Hope that helps.

If weather permits, I'd wear either gold or silver strappy sandals (close toe heels if weather miss-behaves) with a bag that matches the shoes (a small bag). If the dress has cleavage, a nice necklace that dips just right on "the cleavage area" with matching earrings (if you get silver shoes, get a silver necklance, same if gold). Hair can be swept up and the make up should be simple. You didn't mention your complexion, so I am taking a wild guess here....brown eye shadow (2 shades, one lighter than the other) a light brown blush and either red or light pink lipstick. You may want to top off with lip gloss. Hope it gives you some ideas. Have fun at the wedding!
Opps, almost forgot, the darker brown goes on closets to you eye, the lighter shade on top.

go for some nice black stilettos since the dress is below knee lenght (you wanna avoid the duck feet effect, so skip flats or boots). i would take small black bag (just for few things - you don't need more). keep it simple with the jewellery - go for silver! a lot of silver bracelets would look good but not too much. if you have a long hair - high ponytail. smokey eyes would be my choice to go with this dress...

hey babe. okay heres what im thinking - silver open toed high heeled sandels i think for the shoes. not too tall. maybe silver hoops for earrings. or diamond [or diamond imitator] sterling silver studs. no neclace. no white shoes!. maybe a silver bracelet. maybe a gray, silver, or gold clutch. shoulder bags are a no. simple makeup. dark lips, mascara. no eyeliner. make sure to curl those lashes! light blush. foundation. simple hair. straighted undercurled a little. part off to the side a little bit. i hope i helped i know i didnt cover EVERYTHING.
just remember, its a wedding not a funeral. black dress isnt the best idea but its doable, just have the right accesories. and try not to look too dramatic because remember, its the bride & grooms special night not yours.

shoes--heels, maybe red, black, or white...and maybe open toe.
you never said anything about the neckline, but a fancy dress needs minimal jewelry.
make-up...less is more! a light-weight base, lighter (highlighting) shadow to brighten your eyes, and if you opt for bright lipstick, use less on the eyes, and light lips-more on the eyes.
hair...again with the neckline, a high neck-put up, low neck-leave down, or you can put most up with some hanging down...
bag...something simple, again like your shoes, but they DON'T have to match. that ribbon around the middle kind of set the plan for simplicity. good luck and have fun!

just keep your accessories simple. nothing flashy or too dazzling. it's good that your attire is neutral. keep it that way. the black and white color combo is okay.

keep your hairstyle simple, as well. if it's a nighttime affair, you may want to go for an updo or something a bit on the elegant side. otherwise, a more casual (but nevertheless simple-elegant) look will do :)

if you're feeling a bit more adventurous, you may want to use an accessory that matches the bride & groom's theme (a brooch, shawl, purse, accent piece, etc). just make sure you don't overdo it :)

happy dressing! :)

Black and white is good. Stay monotone, maybe with a black and white striped blazer, a black or white hand purse, and a brightly colored accessory, such as a button, pin or scarf.

Ask the bride what the bridesmaid color scheme is going to be - and make your one colored accessory that color.

The reason for keeping everything else monotone and having one colorful item is to draw attention to that item (you'll get compliments on it I promise) and because your skirt has a white bow.
