Join a club and watch it on TV. 5'11" and 8st - if u r quick u'll be a winger or centre. Strong and good tackler - possibly flanker as well? Im 14 as well and I joined a club 3 years ago, and as well as being good fun, I've found my school rugby really improving.

The best way to get into rugby is to find a "Sevens" squad to practice with. Sevens is rugby played with only half the men in half the time. This makes it less physically draining, and allows a new player to pick up on the finer points of stategy without being overwhelmed by the complicated nature of an average rugby play. Since play almost never stops in rugby, its difficult to just start playing, but a Sevens game will help you figure it out.
Also, since their are fewer people in a Sevens game, there is less chance of being hurt, because of both more space to run, and fewer people involved in rucks and mauls.
If you can find a men's club or Intramural team in your area, which shouldn't be too difficult, just ask around, the odds are good that they will have at least a practicing Sevens squad. Whether this team plays often is something you'll have to see for yourself.
I started playing rugby when I was 18, and had never even watched a game before, and was more than a little lost till I got invited to sub in for a prop in a Sevens game. The lower numbers, less complicated plays, greater focus on individual achievement, and lower impact made the game click for me. After that I enjoyed rugby and great deal more, and still play both varieties to this day.

SOrry I don't know anything about rugby. Casually, you could probably find some friends who play and jump in with them. If you want to get into it more enthusiastically, they will probably know how as well, since they too are interested in the game.
I actually came to this question because I'm a Rabbi. I thought people were going to rip out your foreskin and this was a circumcision question. Funny what abbreviations do if read wrong.
Anyways, hope you find some people to play with.

My god! This is hilarious. Im 14, and im at the grade of a B in GCSE. She cant even spell ''my''.
Anyway..just go to your local rugby games to get the feel of it. League is much better IMO. *sits back and waits for the stampede of union fans*. Oh and more importantly...SUPPORT CASTLEFORD TIGERS.
Thankyou. :)

Watch a few games, watch your local team, as well as Union and League matches. Go along to your local club and try it out. But most importantly? Support LONDON WASPS! :]

Too many abbreviations! If you want an answer, the least you can do is spell it out.
Don't you dare use modern language as an excuse for laziness and disrespect!

Sorry, I couldn't even get past your grammar to focus on your question. This isn't IM or texting. It's a forum. If you want people to take your question seriously, please use proper spelling and grammar and ease up on the abbreviations.
