I see that many celebrities are seen as beautiful in which i disagree. I see beauty as unique and distintive feature that are rare. Many celebs do not have this. Expecially without makeup they have flaws. There are also very few facial features that i have not seen distincitive at all. Ex. Beyonce is seen as beautiful. what does she has that I have not seen anyother person has? me honestly have not seen anything. I have actually seen women resemble her and/or has more unique looks than her? It makes me wonder if society portrayal of Beyonce has so much an influence that it intelligently persuades people to accept their ideal of beauty. If this is the case it is truly sad. it makes me think that we live in a country where indivduals are not independent thinkers. I honestly, think that Beyonce is pretty, but i do not find her beautiful. Her physical shape and facial features are not distinctive and rare, nor do exhibit anything exotic.

It is the media portrayal of stars that creates an image of beauty. Sure, they usually are "pretty" to begin with, but the images we see are of these people at their best -- using the best stylists and photographers. Realize that what you see in the media is based on fantasy and not always reality. Biologically, physical beauty is defined by symmetry. A face with symmetrical features is perceived by the human eye as being more pleasing than one that is lop-sided, for example. But, personality, talent, graciousness and so much more play into the equation. In the end, we have to start defining beauty for ourselves and stop letting the media do it for us.

I have always thought that Sophia Loren back in the 1960's was the most beautiful woman in the world. But she had a too long nose. That didn't matter. She thought she was beautiful and it showed though. SHe thought it therefor she WAS..................and alot of the population believed it too. I think alot of the celebrities today are not only plain looking they lack elegance. This was a trait the older stars had. You need elegance more than physical looks to be considered a true beauty. The ones today also dress like slobs.

Well to me beautie is in the eyes of the beholder,beautie is more than looks alone, to me you can take a perfect woman and put a flaw on her and that makes her more stunning, for example lauren Hutton with her gap between her front teeth, that makes a perfect woman even more attractive, but true beautie lies within,if a person has a good heart when you get to know them they have a inner shine that surpasses even average looks, again we each have a differant picture of what real beautie is, for me it starts from inside a person.You know this is kinda funny and personal, but when I met my wife she was on video Cam she lived in the Philippines, one of the first things I found attractive was her smile, I said wow you have such a beautiful smile nice teeth, she them stopped smileing and said, my teeth are plastic and false, I thought to myself huh? I was very confused why at age 32 she had no front teeth,thinking gosh thats jacked up Boo.She said in her country lots of people loose their teeth at a young age, well I saw through that flaw and shes a cutie pie, but if she ever makes me really mad at her I figure I will steal her plastic teeth haha.

I myself am never attracted to gorgeous men ever.
I rather have a relationship with a plane looking dude than with someone whose priorities are the mirror and the blow dryer.

Beauty is different to all of us. Beauty is something that we see or feel that is very satisfying to us. Something that is beautiful to someone else may not seem beautiful to you. I also think that a lot of people simply agree about something regardless of how thy truly feel about it simply to fit in or be a part of the majority.
