Just formatted my laptop, then i noticed that the hardware driver cd that came from the dealer of my laptop was full of scratch. First I was able to install some drivers and programs, but then suddenly my laptop can't detect the dvd r-w of my laptop. When i checked the device manager it says my DVD R-W is corrupted, tried troubleshooting it but no luck it did not worked. tried reinstalling the driver but it seems the hardware CD that came with the laptop is CORRUPTED too. cant find any drivers in the internet... what should I do?? the store where I bought my laptop closed last year ago... what shoul I do?? im desperately in need of help >.<

but in the box it says

you can download the drivers from either the manufacturer of the laptop, or of the cd/dvd drive . Use a hardware detection software to determine the make of hardware.

in the journey that your laptop no longer common stress is 3.5", it won't fit on your workstation considering the fact that those tend to be 2.5" drives; and laptop inner DVD/CD drives are too huge to slot in a working laptop or workstation besides.

please provide the computer model, and brand.
operating system and if possible right click my computer and go to properties, hardware, device manager, look on the list and see if it gives you a dvd model or brand name.

Buy a new copy of XP
Once that is installed you can download the drivers you are missing (if any) from the interweb.
