I recently went off of birth control pills. i know that when you begin bc pills you are more likely to gain weight - but what happens when you stop them? do you lose weight or do you gain weight when you stop them too? i was on yasmin bc pills

I didn't gain weight on yasmin at all but have on others and lost it when I went off them.

Yes, I agree that its a common missconception that birth control pills makes you gain weight. They may have years ago when they weren't a good as they are today. Todays BC pills have lower doses of hormons. I was on them for several years and never once had a weight problem on them.

It is a common misconception that birth control makes you gain weight. I think a lot of women just gain weight and like to blame it on the birth control.
