I in no way disrespect gay people...we're all humans. But when people say "I didn't choose to be gay" I don't comprehend that. I know God wouldn't put us on earth and say "you're going to be straight and you're going to be gay" you know? I'm not trying to offend anyone, I've had gay friends. I think it's a sin of the flesh and not necessarily a sin of the soul. Because the flesh wants to be evil and give into temptation and it's up to us to make the right decision and be with God or give into it and be away from God. I think God maybe wanted to test some more than others and these individuals are an example of failing that test so therefore they did choose it. Would I be right in saying that in some way that is what gay people feel when they say they didn't choose it? Or if anyone is willing to explain. I promise I'm not trying to offend anyone or start an arguement, I'd just like to see others thoughts.

Let me add. When I say we're all here as a test...I don't mean that ALL of us haven't failed at some things and not just gay people because we all sin everyday.

I was born straight. If you read through the bible it says "man and wife" not "man and man" or "wife and wife". Of course with so many people not believing in God my question/desire to know turns into an argument/debate and that is not my intent. I do not understand where you all who don't believe in God think you came from. I guess monkeys.

You answered your own question. You have all the answers.
The gays who say "I didn't choose gay.....", that's a cop out. They want to be gay and that's that. Cut and dry. Did Hannibal the cannibal say he didn't mean to kill and eat those people and not want to be evil. When it comes to the Bible, there is no interpretation of it's meaning. it was supposed to be written to teach you the WORD of God. True, it is hard to get the mesnings of what it is trying to say. But, that is where you come in. You must decide what is right and wrong it is your eternal soul you are trying to protect while praising God all the while for everything He gave you and will give you. God DOES NOT tempt you. YOU tempt you. God does not test you. You test, and sometimes fail, like questioning being gay. Is it a sin to be gay? No. It is however to be gay with someone else. God designed us to NATURALLY be like Ying and Yang, no Ying and Ying or whatever analogy you can come up with. How can a species without science helping them procreate.
To be gay is an abomination anainst God and is a sin of the soul and flesh.

Well, I am completely unable to comprehend your "god would not have made us that way" argument. If god existed in any sense, but especially in the Christian sense, he did make people that way if people are that way, right? The free will argument is silly, because he still created someone with a mind to sin, so he should not blame them for doing as he created them. And this whole "sin of the flesh" "temptation" talk just sounds silly when you step back from it.
No one would choose to be gay. Why would you? If you are not actually attracted to the same sex, there is no logical reason you would sacrifice your entire love life to be with someone of the same sex. You wouldn't decide to be treated as a second class citizen or hated by your family, 'just for fun'.
There have been gay people throughout history, and there are many animals observed in the wild with gay behavior. The reason that this occurred at some point in evolution is unknown but it happened. So no. No one woke up and decided to be gay.

Alot of people think that homosexuality is a choice. They are actually bi-sexual, meaning that they could be attracted to both men and women. There isn't anything wrong with that. They seem to be the ones judging, ironically. I'm straight, I couldn't be gay if I wanted to, that how I know its not a choice.
I don't think God is testing anyone. A test is an evaluation tool. God doesn't evaluate, he knows.

No, you are certainly "born that way." It is not a choice. I am bi-sexual and I developed my preferences at the same time, as I went through puberty. I knew perfectly well that to find a person of the same sex attractive was not the norm, but I could not help my feelings. I am married to a woman because that is who I fell in love with, but it could have just as easily gone the other way.
Really, no one chooses the stigma of "gayness." I have many gay friends and we all agree this is a trait that comes from birth.

Possibly neither.
I can't differentiate between things causing one to be gay (either psychological or physical) and actually being GENETICALLY born to be gay.
I certainly don't think a straight person wakes up one day and decides he prefers "pepsi" to coke.
The problem with alot of these debates is people narrow down the possibilities. I have heard evidence that psysical brain differences are in male gays but it is still being investigated.

Are you gay or straight? Straight? We're you born that way? Were you born gay? No??? You chose that lifestyle, right??
I bet you said you were born straight. Now, if that's a ok answer when your straight why isn't it an ok answer if your gay?
Don't say you chose to be straight instead of born that way. I'm straight and I didn't decide one day.."I think I'll be straight". I was born that way. So let's try using some logic instead of religious dogma for a change.

There has been a great deal of research done on this subject. Religious beliefs aside, scientists seem to think that most homosexuals are born that way, while some become that way due to experiences and environment. I think that alot more kids are experimenting these days because it's becoming acceptable in our society, but science shows that the vast majority of people are heterosexual.

It is a matter of chance that makes a person gay. It is all in the genes and the body makeup. It is not a choice, but, is a biological issue from birth.
I am not gay, so I do not know how gays feel. And, I do not think G-d interferes person to person to regulate this and that. It is all in our genetic makeup.

Lets turn the question around, at which point did you choose to be straight? I never choose to be gay, I just am, and have been that way my entire life. At no point in my life did I ever swear off women and decide to take up boys.
I think its a rather bold statement on your part that you "know" what God would, and would not do.
