I live in Onatrio, Canada and am sending someone in the USA (Missouri) a birthday present by mail (A handmade wire necklace, a card, maybe some candy or something). Her birthday is on the 23rd of January. What would be an economical way to get the package there on that day (or around that day), without damaging the stuff (specifically the necklace, it's wire and glass beads, pretty fragile.)

Pack your necklace so it wont be bounced around. One of those bubble envelopes should protect it-then just put it in between your other items.I live in Ontario ,too.If your box is packed well-it will be just fine using Canada Post It cost $15.00 to send a birthday card by Purolator to Nova Scotia>not at all cheap.

You have to fill out customs forms for every package you send from the US to Canada.

Ask the people in charge at the packaging counter to assist you. I am sure they will.
