Do women there go to school? What kind of clothing do they wear? Can they have good jobs? Can they drive cars? Do they have the same right as males? Do they get to choose who they date/marry? I am interested.

The Middle East is a "large region". It ranges from Lebanon (which is semi-westernized) to Saudia Arabia (which is very "lets say" non Westernized). But, across the board even in Saudi Arabia (where I lived for 10 years) Women do go to schools. In fact, They even have British system schools and American Schools. Women even act in TV shows.

Clothing: In Lebanon for example they wear anything, sleeveless, shorts, bikinis...etc. In Saudi Arabia they dress in Abaya's (which is their national dress). Now-a-days Abaya's come in different shapes and sizes.. Such as D&G denim Abaya's and Sheer Velvety ones.

Jobs: In the United Arab Emirites, Women have amazing jobs...such as Parliament positions, and CEO's...etc

Women can drive cars in 95% of the Middle East with the Exeption of some areas in Saudi Arabia

Rights: In some cases they have more rights than Men. (that's a long topic) ranging from earnings to raising her children.

Marriage: In most cultures (which are islamic) the woman has to approve or disapprove otherwise the marriage is void. It is harder to find males in a segregated society to choose on your own. But usually when a female is ready to get married.... People ranging from her friends to family introduce different males to them and they get to know them for a period of time and approve or disapprove. In more westernized Middle Eastern Countries they just date...

You should not generalize about the Middle East. Women in Saudi Arabia are not allowed to drive but women in Iran are the majority of all university graduates. These countries are not all the same. But generally I would say that the educational level of women is higher than in America.

Sure they do. In fact they are quite educated. They wear loose clothing for the most part. Jilbab and abaya, and a scarf we call hijab. (take a look at www.alhannah.com) (Much like my avatar.) Yes they have good jobs - in banks, businesses, doctors, etc. They can drive cars except for Saudi. Yes they have the same rights as males through their religion though many cultures there may not give them those rights - which is very wrong. Yes according to their religion (Islam) they can marry whomever they choose. They don't date because it is not something done according to our religion.

In general, YES!!!

In my line of work in Canada, I know MANY women from middle eastern countries who have been educated in middle eastern countries in tough subjects like science and engineering.

Same rights as males? Depends on country but in general, no. Some countries head coverings are required but certainly not all of them. I believe in most countries, head covering is optional.

Drive cars? its well known that they are not in Saudi Arabia? However that's only one country. I suspect in others they ARE allowed to drive.

Choose who they date marry? Again, depends the country. Some marriages are fully arranged. Some, the family introduces people and they have a choice. I'm sure in some, they have full choice but still have many family arranged marriages.

Yes they are not only allowed but encouraged to go to school. Yes, in most places they can have jobs, however would not chose too. No men and women are not the same therefore they do not have the same rights. sometimes they chose who they marry, but most of the time it is a collaborative choice with their family involved.

Yes, women do go to school down there. I checked it out for you. Women are able to get married, go to school, and have children and do anything that a guy could do down there. Alot of women down there like going to other places for school and to live instead of being there in the middle east.

The Middle East covers a big area and many countries. Each country is different. I think you need to go to the Net and check each country out individually.
