My daughter and I live on MY disability only. Her dad doesn't even pay Child Support.
I live in Oregon and I'm get Social Security and S.S.I. Can they take that? Can they take my car or tribal revenue checks?
What if I do nothing and they win, what rights do they have then?
Should I call them since I can't "Answer" legally? Thank you.

Ickymoe.. Since you're familiar with the bible, you know that it is wrong to judge someone, which is exactly what you're doing. Who is the hypocrite?

Since you are a resident of Oregon, the laws of that state control the property that can be taken to satisfy a judgment.
In most states, property can't be taken from you without a judgment being entered by a court. I don't know how much your credit card bill is/was, but you should consult an attorney licensed in Oregon. There are several different options available to you, and only an attorney familiar with your state laws can properly advise you.
If you don't have an attorney, contact your local or state bar association for a referral.

Didn't say what was sueing you or for what so its kind of hard to tell you exactly what they can do.
But they can not touch your SS or your SSI. They can put a lien against your car, they wont be able to take it since its your only transportation. If they win they can do a sheriff sale against things you own in your home.
Certain states allow certain things that other states do not allow. I know my state makes it very hard, they can sue you get a judgment but the most they can do is attack your credit report. We have a no wage attachment state unless its government debt, child support or alimony. Other then that people can attach.
Did you get a court date, or just a letter from a creditor saying you are going to be sued? If you just got the letter, Send them a check for 5.00 as long as you make some attempt to pay they can not sue you.

It really depends on what you are being sued for. While the court systems can get out of control with crazy law-suit payoffs (e.g. the McDonalds coffee spill for $40 million etc..), they generally limit the amount of the suits to the damages or what you would normally be liable for. For instance, if you are being sued because hit a parked car. You would be liable for the damage you incurred on that car and possibly any lost wages from the owner (if he/she had to miss work while it was getting repaired).
If you are being sued because you owe someone money...then you will be ordered to pay that amount, and perhaps court costs and attorney fees. You really need a lawyer to represent you, otherwise you might be subjected to every other nickel and dime trick they use to get money.
I do not believe they can garnish your SSI, but if you are court ordered to pay a certain amount per month...then you must do that, otherwise you are in contempt of court and subject to more fines, charges, and even in some cases jail time.
If you do nothing, then you give them the support of court. You can't do that. Call who? Don't deal with them or their attorney's by yourself. Get a lawyer, even one through a support group...anyone.
It would help me more, if I knew why you were being sued.

You can go to your city's court house and they will have a free legal office they will be able to assist you with everything that can be done. Also if this credit card collection co. has you this stressed out and they are harassing you, believe it or not you can sue them, it is against the law for them to make you feel scared, harassed, or like you will loose everything you do or don't have.

As my granny used to say " Can't take blood from a turnip". If you don't have the money it will be hard for them to get it.
