The majority (if not all by now) of qualified scientists are claiming to have conclusive evidence that claimate change is occurring. Why then are there so many people arguing against the evidence? esp when a) they are not scientists, b) they would not know half of the evidence that exists and c) they are probably basing their entire opinion on what they heard from some right-wing d*ck like Bill O'reilly or Andrew Bolt?

Curt - "so called scientists"?

Is this just too scary for you?

The entire global scientific community agrees that if we do not change drastically the amount of crap we pump into the atmosphere, the earth will not sustain human life past our children's lifetimes, if not sooner.

To me, this is the ultimate test of the power of GREED. More powerful than humanity and the survival instinct? We shall see.

BILL O'REILLY SHOULD BE EXPORTED.

The argument is less about global warming and more about what caused it. The biggest division is between those who think man caused it and those who think it is a normal cycle.

What cast so many doubts on the 'scientist' is the fact that they are more interested in a consensus rather than actually coming up with facts. To this extent, the global warming enthusiasts are actually trying to shut up the ones who doubt the extent that these so-called scientists claim that the earth is warming.

What gives me pause is the collective effort of the left, the media, the UN, the college professors and these scientists--who have been awarded all this grant money to 'study' the problem--to go after big oil, big auto, and big business in general.

From this, I am inclined to believe that global warming is a anti capitalist movement. If the global is indeed warming, we are probably giving ourselves too much credit for causing it. Considering that Mars may also be warming, the world is too big for humanity to have done much to cause it.

I don't usually do this, but the 1st Answer by Curt says it so well, I'm just going to "Ditto to what Curt said".

Sadly, well thought responses are the exception rather than the norm in this usually knee-jerk, shrill debate.
