We have known for a long time that America has been following Nazi type regimes in it's concentration camps i.e 'Guantanamo Bay' but I was under the impression that America was going to right the wrongs:not make them worse. According to the journal Metro (www.metro.co.uk page 15). Muslims have had mensural blood painted on their faces by female guards, keeping prisoners in climatic cells with tepratures of 37.7 C with no ventilation and so on. If any amercan believes in democracy surely concentration camps must cease and the prisoners must be tried or given human treatment and release dates. America has lost the worlds respect.

Carlos P--Ask the Jewish community about concentration camps and they might disagree with you. Still, it's stange how quiet the world Jews are keeping about the concentration camps run by America. It seems when its not the Jews in such camps concentration camps are OK but of course no camp of death and torture is is it.

Chris C--The people that are taken into custody for being terrorists come here of their own free will and if suspected of being a terrorist are not tortured, abused in anyway or even manhandled, they are detained and given lawyers to fight their case at the taxpayers expence. If they are able to win their case they go straight onto benifits along with free clothes, Housing, schools, food a maybe even a car and are then a;llowed to send home for their familys who will also go on the benifits. If the house is not big enough the local council will probably give them the house next door also. All on the expence of the taxpayer thats how stupid Britain is. A little differrent to your country. The chances of being turned away and actually prosecuted are extremly low. How can you defend a concentration camp and the Nazis who run them.

Calicees--I understand where your coming from, If Russia invades America and you fight back then all those that did fight back would be terroroists. America has done IIraq a favour by being responsible for nearly 700000 Iraqis deaths and a similar number with fatal injuries of loss of limb and sight ect. Dropping those cluster bombs on civilian areas really made sense
and made the Iraqi people love America and of course the jews jumped with joy when they arrived in the Nazis concentration camps to be beaten tourtured and experimented on as you Americans are doing to the 'Freedom Fighters of Iraq' in the concentration camps of Cuba and elsewhere. Of couse you are not allowed to have such camps on American soil. but this not hypicritical, its good old American Justice. Like hell it is.

B9teamchi--I didn't say America should police the world but since you mention it.
Who is responsible for the deaths of nearly 700000 iraqis. Under saddam there was realative peace because he was the only one to keep all the ethnic factions together
in a volatile peace. Under George a civil war and thousands apon thousands of Iraqi deaths. That is a large price to pay for Americas refusal to seek alternative enegy sources in the past. I am Affraid George your leader is no more than a dictator himself.

I don't know. I was reading just last night about how the FBI has reported the atrocities at Guantanamo Bay. Any American who should even hint that any human being deserves such treatment must truly be a Nazi at heart and a hater of freedom. It was that kind of mentality that got Hitler in power.
I think that people can't separate justice from their own hate but God forbid you call any prejudice. Fact is people in America want someone to hate. what is interesting is that many who are against abortion to save the unborn children are all too willing to support a war that kills many innocent civilians and let many others be tortured all in the name of freedom.
That is why America is seen in such a bad light. Although many Americans have no idea how America impacts other nations around them

I was interested in Carlos' answer as to where were the human rights in Korea, China, and in his personal experience in Cuba:
I'm afraid that is the whole point. Denying someone prisoner-of-war status because you feel like it, denying people due process, torturing (even if only a little bit), and use of 'rendition' to 3rd-party countries so that individuals can be tortured with impunity is supposed to be carried out by the enemy, not the U.S. All military personnel are now in greater danger because U.S. enemies can say, "If it's o.k. with the U.S. then it must be o.k. for us to deny them (military personnel) prisoner-of-war status, or due process, or to torture them."
Yes, other countries engage in those activities, but isn't that the reason we went into Iraq? Well, maybe it was the 7th or 8th reason after WMD, Iraqui/Al-Quaeda ties, protecting an ancient civilization, regime change, letting democracy flourish, etc.

No. he's not a terrorist. He replaced into the dictator of a sovereign u . s . a . that never threatened, provoked or attacked the U.S. yet George Bush and his family individuals have a private vendetta against Hussein, and Dick Cheney needs all that OIL swimming below Iraq's sands so his Exxon-Mobil acquaintances can get richer and richer and richer. Hussein is present technique a ridicule "trial" to make it look as though Iraq is a sparkling democracy. he would be convicted and imprisoned for existence in an Iraqi penitentiary. Cheney and Bush do not provide a damn whether Iraq is a democracy; all they care approximately is their very own very own activity. in the event that they wanted to sell democracy, why are not all the different dictatorships governed via evil despots being invaded? because of the fact all those different dictatorships have no relatively-available OIL. interior a three hundred and sixty 5 days, we will additionally attack Iran for the very comparable reason: OIL. -RKO-

Who says it's up to the United States to control the actions of the rest of the world? The use of the word "allowing" in your question implies that someone sought the permission of the US before doing these things; I seriously doubt if such permission was ever even asked by the numerous fanatical groups and governments carrying out these acts.
Contrary to what some folks think, the United States is NOT the world's policeman.

Why should America play fair and hold up to any ideals when no one else will. Do you think that someone who captures an American will give them "nice" treatment. What about the Americans captured by the Japanese in WWII, what about the Americans Captured by the Chinese and Russians in Korea, What about the Americans captured by the North Vietnamese, what about the Americans captured by the Africans in Mogadishu. Why does the world expect America to play fair only when we are on the opposite sides of the table.Besides, what is fair anyway. People that do not know what democracy is, people that keep women subservient, people that are not supportive of the basic rights of humanity written in the constitution do not deserve treatment equal to what the 'civilized' world should have. I know, I am a Cuban American who was Imprisoned and beaten in one of Fidel Castro's prison. I was 14, and I am now 36, and I still remember my hatred for that man. Where were my rights, where were my moral codes? I'm still waiting.

Easiest answer: Because it can
America has been doing this for years and getting away with it. I think some stories are exaggerated but there is some serious abuse happening there.
It is quite simply unfair and unjust to hold people for long periods (i..e years) without allowing them a trial - it's against all decent behaviour.
The Americans are doing what they want but would moan like hell if anyone treated their own people like that. It's hypocrisy and it's wrong.
Grr!!!!!

Well, first of all its not a consintration camp, its a prison for war criminals. Next, the Jews in WW2 were not war criminals they were innocent citizens who were being killed off because of there religion. The prisoners in Cuba have been caught trying to fight against US forces and its allies. I may not agree that what some of the guards are doing in there is right, but those prisoners should be damn happy the their not getting there heads choped off, they should be happy that though they may be getting slaped around a little bit they aren't DEAD!!! And Carlos P has hit the nail on the head, everybody expects the US to be nice and play fair while they think they don't have to. And rules of war my butt, you should be damn proud that the US and the UK are about some of the small number who actually try to abide by them. Lets go ask some of the US and UK prisoners of war what their experiance was like... oh wait we can't... their dead. You should go pack your bags and go over there to Iraq and tell the Terrorist to play fairly and abide by the "Rules of War". And the only reason these prisoners have any rights whatsoever is because of some of my "fellow" Americans in spite of Bush, think that its not fair to hold prisoners of war (men mind you who tried to kill my and your fellow countrymen) without having some sort of trial of fairness to say what they did was ok and they can go free. ITS WAR, the only right you have as a prisoner is to have a place to eat and sleep. so they have mensural blood painted on there faces, at least there not dead, so there kept in cells with a high temp.... at least there not dead. You go ask some jews who were in consintration camps and im sure they will tell you that these guys are on a cake walk. They SHOULD be released when the war is over.

"If you tell a lie often enough people begin to believe it." I've heard and read interviews with former guards and officials that dispute everyone of these tales of woe. But to the prejudiced mind who WANTS to believe the USA is evil then it does not matter.

Oh dear. What nasty treatment.
Of course you're right, the US must do as the laws of war regulate. These muslim illegal combatants kept in Guantanamo must be taken out of their vile, air conditioned, cells and executed by a firing squad.
