Part of it is the temperament and personality of actors and actresses, and any one involved in any of the Arts. Look at the history of musicians, painters, dancers, none of them have a good track record when it comes to relationships. Part of that is because to be truly successful in the Arts, there has to be a certain amount of self-absorbtion. The problem today is that too many "artists" aren't really that talented, but they've heard the hype and try to live up to it. Me, me, me. That's all they seem to know, and that doesn't leave much room for other people.

Too self involved to put in the necessary effort and make the necessary sacrifices required to maintain a relationship through life's inevitable changes. Easier to hop off and try again with someone else.

Bottom line. No religious foundations, Temptation and money. When working together on movies or shows. They get close and get attached, i.e Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt when they worked together on Mr and Mrs Smith. When you have lots of money you feel you can do whatever you like.

Because they are used to having what they want, the instant they want it, so they don't wait to find out if they are really in love. It happens to anyone who marries impulsively, or anyone who marries because they want the big fancy wedding without consideration to the marriage..
