Hi,

Are you using the Windows XP built in Burn function? If so, I think they will copy all the data to a temporary folder on the hard disk before burning it to DVD. Make sure you have as much space on the hard disk as the capacity of the DVD.

Another option will be to use Nero. It's a much better option:)

no this doesnt mean that there is something wrong with the disk...more than likely this means that there isn't enough disk space for the file or what she is trying to put on the disk. i would recommend deleting some of the files that are on the disk already that you do not need or just getting another blank disk that will hold the information. flashdrives are nice and are becoming inexpensive and hold alot of information!

The burning program requires some free hard disk space in order to properly burn a dvd. You may not be having enough space in your hard drive. Please clear some stuff on the hard drive - by deleting old and unwanted files and uninstalling unwanted programs till aroudn 4-5 GB of space is freed. Then you'll be able to write a DVD.

Finalizing a disc makes it so as which you could not write multiple instructions to a disc. this implies not greater documents could be written to the disc except it somewhat is blanked contained in relation to a RW disc. Burning a multi-consultation disc on the different hand will go away the disc open, skipping the finalizing point so greater documents could be burned to the disc at a later factor.
