I gave him a mouse 3 weeks ago. Now I have 2 pets. A snake and a mouse.
I know the temperature is good and his eyes are clear. What should I do?

If Jake is an adult, he's likely not eating due to the season--adult ball pythons usually refuse food for 6-8 weeks in the winter prior to their breeding season. Remove the mouse to a separate cage so that it doesn't chew the snake up. Re-offer it in a couple of weeks, but don't be surprised if it's a month or two before he accepts it.

He might be about to shed his skin, this will put any snake of his food, also don't leave the mouse in with the snake as they will attack and could kill your snake.

Where's your friend been for a year and why do you still have his snake?
